4-Star Review: Unhinged Obsession by London Snow

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I LOVE this universe so much, and Unhinged Obsession gave me exactly the kind of Elijah Moretti I was hoping for.
Obsessive? ✔️Possessive? ✔️Protective? ✔️Dangerous to literally everyone except his woman? Absolutely.
Elijah was everything I expected him to be—and then some. 😂
Elijah Moretti Is Completely Unhinged
Let’s start with the obvious: Elijah is obsessed with Blair.
Not casually interested.
Not mildly intrigued.
Obsessed.
Even after Blair disappeared, Elijah went looking for her because apparently letting the woman he loves simply disappear into the world is not an option.
And honestly?
I love an MMC with that level of determination.
His attitude toward basically everyone except Blair was chef’s kiss. There is something ridiculously satisfying about an MMC who is essentially a menace to society but becomes softer, more protective, and completely devoted when it comes to his woman.
Elijah absolutely had that energy.
He can be ruthless and intimidating, but when Blair is involved? Different man.
And I ate it up.
Elijah and Blair's Connection
I really enjoyed that Elijah and Blair both had such strong feelings for each other.
Their relationship isn't just one-sided obsession. There is a genuine intensity between them, and despite everything standing between them, they are both willing to fight to protect each other and preserve what they have.
Their connection felt intense from the beginning, and I especially loved the possessiveness on both sides.
These two are very much in the you're mine, but also I'm yours category.
And considering everything surrounding them—their families, the Black Crown Society, the expectations placed on them, and the secrets they are dealing with—that intensity worked incredibly well.
The Spice? 🔥
AH-MAZING.
London Snow definitely knows how to deliver when it comes to the spicy side of dark romance.
The chemistry between Elijah and Blair was 🔥, and the intimate scenes absolutely lived up to the anticipation.
If you're looking for a romance where the attraction is strong and the spice is spicy, this one definitely delivers.
Give Me More Secret Society Drama
One of my favorite parts of the story was the Black Crown Society aspect.
Secret societies?
Arranged pairings?
Legacy families?
Powerful people deciding the futures of everyone around them?
People being trapped beneath generations of expectations?
YES.
There is just something about secret-society romance that makes everything automatically more deliciously complicated.
The Black Crown Society adds another layer to Elijah and Blair's relationship because they are not just fighting for each other. They are fighting against expectations that have been established long before either of them had a say in their own futures.
And that gives the romance some really interesting stakes.
My One Complaint: I Wanted More Angst
My biggest issue with the book was that I sometimes felt like the conflicts were resolved a little too quickly.
Something would happen and I'd be sitting there thinking, Ohhh, here we go. This is about to get GOOD.
And then—
Snap. Solved.
Another problem would appear.
Oh, okay. Now we're getting somewhere.
Snap. Solved.
😂
I think this is probably more a matter of personal reading preference than anything else. I'm used to reading chunky dark romances where the author lets the tension simmer for approximately seven hundred years before finally allowing anyone to breathe.
So I found myself wanting more buildup.
More angst.
More time spent sitting in the consequences.
More oh no, how are they possibly getting out of this?
The conflicts themselves were interesting; I just wanted them to have a little more room to develop before being resolved.
That said, it definitely did not ruin the book for me.
I still had a great time with it.
And Then Came That Epilogue 😂
Okay.
If you love the Kings of Castlebrook crew, you absolutely need to read this epilogue.
Because the chaos?
I was laughing my ass off.
After everything that happened throughout the book, getting that little dose of Castlebrook madness was exactly what I needed. Those characters are always capable of bringing a completely different kind of energy to the story, and I loved seeing them pop up.
Honestly, you could probably convince me to read an entire book consisting of nothing but those men being absolute disasters.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Unhinged Obsession was another fun addition to the London Snow universe, and I absolutely enjoyed my time with Elijah and Blair.
It gave me everything I was hoping for:
Obsessive MMC? ✔️Possessive behavior? ✔️Secret societies? ✔️Protective romance? ✔️Spice? ✔️🔥Castlebrook chaos? ✔️😂Two people completely gone for each other? ✔️
Elijah's obsession with Blair was exactly what I wanted, their chemistry was fantastic, the Black Crown Society added an intriguing layer to the story, and the spice was 🔥.
I would have loved more buildup and angst surrounding some of the conflicts, but that was a relatively minor complaint and didn't take away from how much fun I had reading the book.
Four stars from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love this universe, I love the chaos, and I am absolutely sticking around to see whatever London Snow throws at us next.
Because apparently I have learned nothing about protecting my emotional stability—and honestly?
I don't want to. 😂🖤
